Our Blog Returns

I have posted a few pictures of taken during our weekend Christmas train ride. The kids all got dressed in the pajamas for the ride. The boys had a great time, they mostly wanted to roam the train. Caroline did great, too, she was very interested in Santa and got along with Mrs. Claus quite well. I don't think she knows a stranger.

Day # 295

Monday, September 4

Today was a big day for food. Will enjoyed a donut and Charlie enjoyed his first ribs. He actually did really well eating them himself. Will and Charlie both like the "race car" Boo's neighborhood kids gave them.

Day # 293

Saturday, September 2

Charlie was introduced to a BB gun tonight. His granddad decided he should start teaching him a little about guns and gun safety. Charlie had a great time pretending to be a cowboy. He is so thin though that the holster just slipped right off his waist. He'll have to have a few more lessons from his granddad (and get a little older) before he will be allowed to have a BB gun of his own.

Day # 292

Friday, September 1

Today was a big day for Will. First he started off his day with his first McDonalds hamburger. We was very excited and made a good dent in it.

Later we were off to the barber shop. Charlie has gone so many times that he just hops up in the chair and waits for his sucker at the end. Will on the other hand has only had two other haircuts in his lifetime. The bribe doesn't work so easily on him.

Well...maybe two suckers

"I want my curls back!"

Will did easily get over his haircut once he was out of the seat. He does look a little different though without all of that hair.

Day # 287

Sunday, August 27

Today we went to Kathy and Travis' for dinner. On the way we stopped at Costco to pick up a few things. Will was in such a good mood.

Charlie and Anna Kate have been very interested in weddings ever since Susan and Mike's wedding. Anna Kate went upstairs and got dressed up and came down with Charlie. She even found a ring and put it on the right finger. They pretended to get married to each other.

Day # 286

Saturday, August 26

Tonight we grilled out and had corn on the cob. Will loved it and Charlie ate a little. I thought these pictures of Will with a big piece of corn were funny.

Day # 280

Sunday, August 20

We were invited to go out on the lake today with our friends Scott and Monique and their kids. The boys had such a good time, especially riding on the boat. Charlie really enjoyed it when the boat went fast. We taught him to say "I feel the need for speed". Will got a kick out of it all, too.

Day # 276

Wednesday, August 16

Today I took Charlie, Ben (Charlie's friend) and Will out for a playdate. Will might have even had more fun than Charlie and Ben. It was so nice to just let the kids run wild. They were able to get into a lava pit, play on big foam animals or climb on an indoor playplace. The boys were wiped out from all of their fun.

Day # 275

Tuesday, August 15

Today was Charlie's first day of preschool. He did great. He walked right in to the classroom and said goodbye and was busy doing some arts and crafts before I knew it.

Day # 274

Monday, August 14

The boys stayed at the grandparents' houses this weekend. It was a great opportunity for me to catch up on some things around the house and some much needed rest. It was Will's first time away from me overnight and he did great, at least that's what I was told. I met my mom halfway to pick the boys back up. We decided to meet at McDonalds. The boys are crazy about their Hummer Happy Meals.

Day # 267

Monday, August 7

We wrapped up our trip to Dallas with a visit to Mi Cocina and the mall. The kids had a great time playing in the indoor playplace there. They had a diner food themed area.

Day # 265

Saturday, August 5

We went to Dallas this weekend to visit Mark and Stacie. We had a great time. Charlie and Lea played so well together and Will held his own keeping up with the two of them. Charlie loved dancing and being silly to the Austin Powers soundtrack. He also had fun pretending to be Superman and Batman. He thought Stacie and Mark's wine cellar was the batcave. We had lots of good food and wine of course. Mark grilled one night and used his smoker the next. It was great to see the newest addition, Anna. She was good the entire time and is quite the sleeper.
