Day # 174

Saturday, May 6

Here are a couple of pictures of Will at Boo and Granddad's house. We made bagnets this morning for breakfast. You can tell Will really enjoyed his. He also likes to sit in this chair that is just his size.

Day # 172

Thursday, May 4

Well we decided to try and forget about Chuck leaving by taking a trip to the grandparents. Charlie opted to concentrate on his flying, while I tried to catch up on some sleep. Here are some pictures of Charlie and Cappy before we all went for a ride in the Champ.

Tuesday, May 2

Today was sad for all of us. Chuck had to return to work and once again say goodbye to the boys and me. Charlie did ok, except for a small breakdown. He got really upset when Chuck got on the airplane. I think he was more disappointed he didn't get to get on that airplane, too, than he was about actually saying goodbye.

Monday, May 1

These are some pictures we took on Chuck's last full day in town. As usual, we managed to pack a lot in to one day. We started the day with a bike ride, played in the backyard that afternoon, and met up with Chuck's sisters for dinner. We had a great time, but it was a little sad since we knew it wouldn't last.

Day # 168

Charlie on the boat on the lake
Will hanging out on a float in the boat
Chuck and Charlie playing on the lake

Sunday, April 30

We were fortunate enough to go out on the lake again with Scott and Monique. Charlie really had a good time, especially on the raft with his dad. He did have a little mishap when he feel over and got his foot hung up on the rope of the raft. Once he was safe, though, he was ready to get back on the raft again. Charlie and Ben were really funny when the boat was moving. They had such a good time and giggled the whole way asking Scott to go faster.

Will even had a nice time. He fell asleep when the boat was running. We did keep a lifejacket on him, but took it off for a few minutes when we stopped the boat. We had a great lunch out on the lake, too.

Day # 167

What a huge mess

Saturday, April 29

Today we went to Ben's birthday party. Charlie and Ben are really funny together. The party was at a park and the fun bus was also there. They had taken out the seats and turned an old bus into an obstacle course on the inside. The kids shuttled through from one end to the next. They even did station changes. It was nice, too, for Chuck to be able to catch up with some of his friends there.

Day # 162

Monday, April 24

Today we got the boys pictures made. I think they were tired though. Here is a picture of Charlie, Chris and Will as we were driving around town today.

Sunday, April 23

We all took off this morning and had a late BBQ lunch with Christine, Larry, Jack and Tyler. Sally stayed behind to watch Will while we headed to the UT Baseball game. Charlie had a great time, mostly eating his snowcone. Thanks to Shaley and Wilson for the tickets!

Day # 160

Saturday, April 22

We celebrated Charlie and Will's birthday while Chuck was in town. Charlie had more fun than Will. Will had his friends Nathan and Oliver in attendance.

We had a great turn-out for the boys birthday. Kristi, Mike and Oliver and Christine, Larry, Jack and Tyler were in town. All of the family was in, too, because of Mike and Susan's wedding the night before.

April 21, 2006

It was a wonderful week. I think Chuck enjoyed catching up with the kids and seeing our new house. We also had a night out on the lake on a boat with Scott, Monique, and Jay. Today is Susan and Mike's wedding. Rehearsal dinner was last night local restaurant. All of their close friends and family made toasts to the bride and groom. Chuck and Kathy made a toast together, as did Travis and me. There was even a bridemaid's luncheon today.

Sunday, April 16

We really had a nice homecoming for Chuck. It was Charlie's third birthday and Easter Sunday. We met Kathy, Travis, Mack, Sally, AK, Susan, Mike, Scott, Monique, Jack and Ben on the lake for dinner. Everyone enjoyed seeing Chuck after 5 months. We had a "choclick" cake and sang happy birthday to Charlie. Charlie had a great time!
