Day #82

I am sorry that I have been remiss in my duty to update this blog more regularly. We have been quite busy around the house these days. I did hire a regular babysitter, who is now coming several days a week to help with the boys while I run errands and get unpacked. She has been a tremendous help.
Last weekend we celebrated Susan's birthday at the Kelleys. Charlie had such a good time with the kids and with Travis. He sure does enjoy his interactions with men. Susan got some really nice gifts, including a diamond necklace from your parents. Kathy cooked beef enchilladas and everyone helped pitch in with side items.
Susan ended her birthday celebration with a trip to the doctor to have her ACL reconstructed on Wednesday. She has been recouperating at our house with your mother's help. I have enjoyed the company. Charlie has enjoyed watching movies with Susan and playing with Mike. And of course, Will enjoys the extra attention he gets from his grandmother.
Will cut his fifth tooth almost 2 weeks ago now. I just couldn't figure out why he was so cranky and needy during the day, until I saw the new bottom tooth coming in. Most of the time he is all smiles though.
Otherwise, the house is coming along slowly, but steadily. I have been busy getting bids for some landscaping and irrigation, and shopping a little for furniture and window treatments. I feel sorry for everyone that comes for a visit, because I usually end up giving out tasks to our guests. Your dad flew in one day last week and he ended up fixing our icemaker and installing new smoke detectors. Travis got stuck with hanging blinds in the boys' rooms last Friday night. So I know that everyone will be happy to see you come home again. We are looking forward to it, too.
